Why Choose Rubberwood?
Our Victorian Dollhouse is crafted from natural rubberwood, sourced from rubber trees that stop producing latex after 25 years.
Rubberwood plantations rarely require pesticides since the trees are not prone to infestations. Farmers apply fertilizer only between the ages of 20 and 22. Three years before harvesting the trees, fertilizer use is stopped to cut costs, while still tapping the latex for those final years.
This process helps naturally reduce chemical residues in the rubberwood, making it safer for toy production. PlanToys pioneered the use of reclaimed rubberwood, repurposing these trees into wooden toys instead of burning them.
Our toys are largely biodegradable, made from wood with non-toxic colors and free from harmful chemicals, ensuring they are safe for both humans and the environment.
